Changeling

Mama called me changeling
I just wanted to be
called little darling.
I wanted to be hugged.
But she never said "darling"...
She rarely hugged

She thought I bugged her
Called me "a mistake"
I was an annoying
little changeling
Unwanted and lost
So I thought:
"Why should I stay?"
I ran away

A family found me
and wanted me to be
their little darling
They gave me a hug
and a safe place to stay

In my new haven
I've got
a Mom & Dad
Sisters & brothers
They take care of me
like I'm their own

I love them so!
Now I never ever
wanna run away!
