Sunflower Children

A sunflower is reaching towards the sun
It's shiny and yellow
In a meadow children are having fun
we're feeling happy and mellow

Some people think sunflowers are weeds
They think the same about us
They couldn't care less about our needs
People put us down and make such a fuss

Don't cut the beautiful sunflowers down!
You don't have to love us, but let us grow
Don't let your mean words make us drown
Show respect, and let us go with the flow

Yes, some people think of us as a sunflower
But we don't care, Sunflower Children got the power!
